Fire and Ice

Dahlias are my new obsession. Their shapes and colors are endless and each flower is bursting with personality. I was inspired by a Fantin-Latour floral painting on view at Christie's auction house in New York City recently. It was a deceptively simple arrangement, one that captivated me for a long time. I also loved the textured, minimalist background, which I have created here.
